Insomniac Games appears to have returned to motion capture studios to work on its next web-slinger title. The main clue came from Ben Jordan, the current face model for Peter Parker, indicating that production on a new, unannounced project has already begun.
On his Instagram profile, the actor shared a behind-the-scenes image from a recording session. The detail that quickly caught the community’s attention was that Jordan is seen making the hero’s iconic web-shooting gesture.
It’s worth noting that Ben Jordan has been the face of Peter Parker since Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, replacing John Bubniak. At the time, the developer explained that the change was made to better align the hero’s facial features with the performance capture of voice actor Yuri Lowenthal.
At the moment, it’s not possible to confirm whether the actor’s current work is aimed at the highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 or the spin-off project Marvel’s Venom. The existence of the symbiote-focused game was discovered after the massive ransomware attack suffered by PlayStation at the end of 2023, which pointed to a 2025 release with a scope similar to Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
While there has been no official announcement from the studio, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 remains a massive sales success. The game has already surpassed the impressive mark of 16 million units sold worldwide—with 2.5 million on the first day alone—boasting a 90/100 rating on Metacritic and the coveted “Must Play” badge.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Spider-Men Peter Parker and Miles Morales face the ultimate test of strength as they fight to save the city, each other, and those they love from the monstrous Venom and the dangerous new symbiote threat.
