The production will be handled by PlayStation Productions in partnership with Lyrical Animation, with a promise to remain faithful to the brutality of the original work. Another important detail was the choice of Seán McLoughlin, the popular Irish YouTuber known as Jacksepticeye, to take on the role of producer.
It is worth noting that the influencer has always declared himself a big fan of FromSoftware’s work, amassing millions of views with his videos exploring the dangers of the city of Yharnam. During the event, Sanford Panitch, president of Sony Pictures, assured that the violence and cosmic horror will not be toned down to reach broader audiences.
At this stage, details about who will take on directing or writing duties remain undefined, leaving the release date open. While waiting for more information about the film, players continue to hope that the franchise will receive the long-awaited 60 FPS patch for PlayStation 5, or even a native PC version in the future.
